Sight Word fluency practice EDITABLE Big Bubble breath boxes
Increase fluency by working on big bubble breath boxes.
Editable document allows you to put in sight words, number words, color words, letters, numbers, or even sentences in to the breath boxes.
Students are instructed to take a deep breath and get ready to blow a bubble while they read all of the words/phrases in one box. Eventually as fluency rate increases, student can read two to three boxes in one breath.

Roll 'Em: Expanded Form Dice Game
This is a game I use in my math stations. The students use dice to create 3-digit numbers. They record the digits, standard form, and expanded form of the number. This is a recording sheet for the game.

Synonym Match Cards (+context clues!) - Find Partners/Pairs Game
This product contains 20 pairs of synonym cards (40 words total.) Each card has the word as well as the word in context.
There are several options for how to use these cards:
-As a whole group activity, each student gets a card and needs to find the classmate who has the matching synonym. Play as a practice or review game, a brain-break, or a way to find partners for another activity (i.e., if Student A gets 'tidy' and Student B gets 'neat,' they are now partners!)

Nonsense Word and Phoneme Segmentation Fluency Practice (Editable)
Nonsense Word and Phoneme Segmentation Big Bubble Breath Fluency Boxes
Leave the words as they are or edit the word boxes with word families or nonsense words you would like your students to work on.
Students will take a deep breath like they are getting ready to blow a bubble and then read all of the words in a box in one breath. Students will try and work up to two or three boxes in one breath.

This home reading log is designed to record student’s home reading habits. It contains a column to record the date, title of the reader, level of the reader, comment and number of books read.
