Cooperative Learning Strategy cards
PLEASE BE SURE YOU HAVE MICROSOFT 2010 OR HIGHER BEFORE DOWNLOADING.
These are cooperative learning strategies created by Kagan. I simply made a reference card to introduce to the students and post on your wall for future reference. The have a title of the strategy, a picture and description of the strategy at the bottom. You can print them as a full page of smaller to use as flash cards.

Treasures Sight Words for Start Smart weeks 1-3
Use for High Frequency Words/Sight word work/practice. I always say "jet across" when I want my students to read a row of words quickly. I put my hand under each word and we fly across the row as quickly as we can. Use these sheets in the same way but just use your finger to "jet across". It's a fun way to practice High Frequency Words/Sight Words in class or at home and keep score to see their improvement. It is up to you how the sheets are used.

Fact and Opinion I Have, Who Has
In this “I Have, Who Has” game students will identify the difference between a fact and an opinion. Cut each box into cards and laminate.
Pass out all the cards to students. Keep one card for you to start with. You can read the “Who has” part on your card to get the game started. Theme, theme, theme!
Theme is ALWAYS so difficult for my 4th-graders to understand. Yet, it is SO IMPORTANT for them to have a firm grasp of theme and thematic concepts as they work to comprehend fictional texts. Unplugged Coding Activity
Ever wondered how to teach coding without a computer? It happened to me, so I created my own codes from scratch. You can break your students into teams and give them a set of codes to program the teacher or a group member through a maze. I used masking tape and created a maze throughout the lab.
