Thanksgiving Garden Project

This is a perimeter and area activity. Students create a garden that they can harvest for Thanksgiving dinner. They find the perimeter and area for each item they grow as well as for the entire garden. They also color code the items they grow and create a key that shows what each section of the garden is. Their final project can be made in Google Sheets or Excel if you have access to technology, or they can do this on grid paper.

Time: analogue, digital, 24 hour cards

Cards that I use to teach time to students. Includes a student sheet that you can laminate and re-use (flash a card and ask students to draw on the clock, write in digital form and in words on the lines). Times are in increments of 5 minutes but choose which are appropriate to your students. I photocopied each type of time (all 24-hour, all analogue etc) on a different colour of paper to make it easy to sort.
