This 12 page Excel document is a compilation of 201 strong character quotes that can be used in a variety of ways. The quotes included range from Heraclitus to Thomas Paine to Darwin to Emerson, Thoreau, and more. The quotes reflect on character, integrity, knowledge, choices, etc. - all still relevant to building confident, moral strength in youth today. Student Non-Fiction Book Publishing Rubric
I used this rubric for my students when they created non-fiction books about the Native American Tribes. Students folded 3-4 sheets of white paper in half, bound it with staples, and then filled it in with the required content. This project incorporated our social studies content while reinforcing writing skills and identifying, using, and creating text features.
