TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I am starting my tenth year teaching for the 2023-24 school year! I have taught a many grades in a variety of settings including in a project-based learning environment, a highly regarded K-8 school, middle and high school in Antigua, Guatemala, and now at a public high school in Southern California.

MY TEACHING STYLE

My materials are focused around three central topics: communication, collaboration, and creativity. My science classes aim to get students to think independently both within groups and individually. Science requires deep inquiry. By approaching science in this way, students can find the true meaning of science and, in turn, find personal connections to the concepts.
