Google Maps Pythagorean Theorem -- Real World Application
Background Information
This activity is meant for practicing the Pythagorean theorem. The students are asked to calculate the length of a cable that a technician must install. To find it, students must use the theorem where streets are used as the legs of the triangles. The back of the worksheet includes answer cells where students show their work.
