Hi there! I am in my eighth year of teaching. In my "free" time I enjoy making my own materials and resources :) I just recently started a blog to document my few years of teaching and to share all of my ideas and classroom crafting, so if you are interested please feel free to check it out and subscribe! http://www.LiveLoveandTeach.com :) Check out my Instagram where I post daily! I believe that children learn best through hands-on, engaging experiences involving materials that they are interested in. I find that altering "typical" lessons and materials to match the students' interests tend to keep them engaged which results in higher participation and success. I think it is extremely important to get to know your students likes and dislikes in order to create materials that will involve them and interest them in their learning more than using "by-the-book" resources.
