Resiliency Lesson & Writing Prompt #1: The Race
This is an engaging lesson for teaching RESILIENCY! Students watch a video featuring a runner who falls down in the middle of a race.

Positive Social Norms Campaign for SADD, Red Ribbon Week, PBIS, Counseling
As a sponsor of SADD, we were looking for a fresh campaign that connected with teens - and #mostteens@DGN was born. During this campaign, we shared statistics about the positive decisions MOST teens make about:

Enough is Enough--Time to Fix our Overpopulated Shelters!
Humane Education, as well as Character Education, is mandated in the State of Florida. But more than that, our county shelters are killing at a rate of 150 animals per WEEK! We need to educate our students the effects of non spaying/neutering has on our animals and shelters.
This hands-on activity ties to the book, It's Raining Cats and Cats by Jeanne Provost. Perfect for grades 1-3 but we have been using the title with our middle school kids for fund raising events.
