Students will take on the role of a person who has become a knight during the Middle Ages. They will write a letter to a family member or friend describing their experiences. Product is three pages. Standards were often carried into battle and represented the spirit and soul of the military unit that carried them into battle. To promote connections to Ancient Rome as well as positive school culture, I have my students create their own standard specific to our school values so that we can showcase the spirit and soul of our school.
