Students conduct an activity to determine the most effective way to control noise using shoe boxes and sound-absorbing materials. In groups, students will use one of 8 materials assigned by the teacher to sound-proof the inside of a shoebox. I use this personalized cloud book in my class for my students that have special needs. It can absolutely be used for typical students in the younger grades as well. Simple cloud descriptive vocabulary is used to ensure understanding. The images provided are meant to be cut out and handed to the students to be pasted into the correct spaces.
