Earth Day song: Earthlings Doing Earth Things
An folk style environmental song for Earth Day. Kind of a lilty little number that I was surprised that high school kids liked...it was written for upper elementary students. Students pick it up VERY quickly. Reduce, recycle, reuse. Download this song to save the plastic in the CD if you can.

This is a 60's rock style biology song about the recycling of matter in nature. It includes verses on the carbon, nitrogen and water cycle. Let this add a little spice to a topic of study that needs it. At the end of the year my students and I would form a band and play this one for sure.

Oscillating White Noise (.mp3)
White noise machines are widely used in medical offices and workplaces. This is because white noise produces a calming effect on people. Studies have shown that white noise also helps students, especially those with ADD and ADHD, concentrate and focus less on distractions. I made this .mp3 file and play it in my classroom throughout the day on a CD player in the back of the room. You can also play it though your computer. A classroom management must have!
