I created this planner for my students. I wanted a planner that included everything I liked from other planners and could be placed in a student binder. You can customize as needed. You will see our nine weeks calendar that can be adjusted as needed. It is set from a template I created so dates can be changed easily. My only suggestion is to add or remove pages in sets of 2 otherwise when printed a full week will not be visible. Print double sided.

Having Students Take Initiative for their Grades

Here and there I have my students fill one of these out after looking at their grades, so that they can become more responsible. The great thing about this is it allows them and their parents to see what actions they can take in order to get a better grade. Something I really believe is that most students who have bad grades, have that grade because they don't know how to get a better grade. This sheet allows students to own up to why they have a bad grade, while also allowing them to ask themse

Systematized TUTOR PROGRAM

For over ten years I ran an after school tutor program for my middle school English students (some 125-to-150 students a year.) It was such an extremely beneficial and rewarding opportunity, I kept offering it every year. Even though it was two extra hours of my time a week (little time most of us teachers think we have) it multiplied learning so much for both the tutors (actual students who provided the assistance) and the tutees (students whom received help on their work), I kept

Teachers will have concrete evidence of each student's self assessment. This outline provides five subcategories of which students should use to become introspective about their academic achievement. This organizer helps you order your thoughts so it's easier for you to implement new ideas into your classroom and share them with your teachers. With a place for new ideas, resources, and a to-do list, you'll finally get the full benefit from trainings.
