Homework Expectations Letter
With the new standards and Engage NY/Eureka Math curriculum I have had many concerned/angry parent emails. Math teachers get all the complaints! This Expectations letter helps parents and students understand their role when doing homework. It also has a whole page of online resources that I use with my families. Silent Teacher Poster - Factors Vs Multiples
Do your students regularly mix up the difference between "factors" and "multiples". Mine do all the time. This large poster (2'x3') shows gives a basic definition of each term and an example of each. This worksheet shows a cross-section of an animal cell. Students are to use the word bank to write the correct word next to each definition. There are five words and five definitions. I use this with my 7th and 8th graders who work on an alternate curriculum. This is also a great review for homework.
