Coordinate Plane Activboard Lesson
Here is an Activboard Lesson that teaches students how to use a Coordinate plan. There 6 slides total with the first 4 slides being informational and the last 2 slides being interactive. Great for introduction to cooridnate planes!. My students loved coming to the board and placing the shapes in the correct spot on the grid.

Gingerbread Man Graph
What part was eaten first? Looking for a great activity to do after reading "The Gingerbread Man"? Your students will love making and discussing this ActivBoard graph. Hunt for or give each student a gingerbread cookie and have them take one bite. Then graph what part they ate first. After the graph is completed discuss the results. You can then print the graph and display it in the class or in a graph collection in the class library. The kids love to revisit their graphs and read them.

C-V-C Spelling Flip Chart {Promethean Board Activity}
This is a PROMETHEAN BOARD flip chart for C-V-C Spelling words. The activity consists of 23 words along with REAL photos which is extremely helpful for all students, especially students with special needs. Introduction to black history month
This flipchart is one I use to introduce the concept/idea of black history month to my students. It begins with a song about Martin Luther King, then has picture examples of the words past and present to help my kids understand what we mean when we say the "past". Then there are pages of examples of black athletes, musicians, actors, etc. At the end there is a video "black history alphabet" I hope this simplified way of introducing black history helps your class as much as it helped mine.

Temperature Routine (Promethean Flipchart)
Engage students in the practice of meteorology by observing the weather each day. After students come in from recess, they can predict what the temperature is. Simply click on the icon to visit the National Weather Service site. Returning to the flipchart, a student can drag the gray bar to show the temperature for the given day and color code the bar using the paint bucket tool. At the end of the week, print out the page (in color if possible) and display along the ceiling in the classroom.

This lesson is part of my community helpers unit. On each page there is a question such as where do you go to pray? a visual cue like a woman praying, and 3 choices of locations to choose from. When the child selects the correct answer it says the models the words for the location.

This is an interactive lesson that I use once I have covered basic community helpers and what they use. In this activity is asks a question like "what do firemen drive to a fire?" It provides a visual cue like a picture of a fireman, and then choices in a field of 3. When the child selects the correct choice it models that language like "a firetruck".
