Reading Through Drawing
This is a great way to prepare students for test taking. It teaches them to stop frequently and then draw a picture of what they just read. This helps them to remember text read and will help them in selecting the correct answer. I use this and EVERY product I have made with several children with Autism. VAAP Aligned SmartBoard Activities
I created these SmartBoard Activities for one of my third grade students with autism. The activities touch on VAAP assessments including: sorting words into familiar categories, number identification, coin & value identification.
There is also an activity for the frog life cycle, which was once a third grade VAAP goal. This year the goals have changed, but it still aligns to grade level SOLs.
