In this geography and world continents Escape Room and Crack the Code activity, students work individually (or in pairs) to research the location of 20 different historic sites, landforms, or geographic features! In a twist from my other Crack the Code activities, this geography one is designed for seated use and is ideal for student research! I created this escape room to introduce the Islamic Golden Age to my students. They don’t need any prerequisite about the Golden Age knowledge to complete this activity.  However, my students have already learned the words caliphate and mosque in what we’ve studied so far in relation to Islam (they’re answers to the rebus clues in locks 3 and 5), so they'll need to know those words.
