Narrative Writing - Book Trailer Project
This is a digital storytelling project in which students create a trailer for a novel they have read. Student access to computers or iPads is required. Common Core aligned. I hang the posters around the room and give each student a sticky note. They write their name on the sticky note and move it as they complete each step. This gives me and the students a quick visual of where everyone is and who needs a little nudging or assistance in order to move on.

Rock Cycle Museum Project
This project is intended for middle school students or gifted upper elementary students. For elementary students, I would suggest students work in groups rather than individually. You have the option of giving 4 grades or combining into 1 grade. This is a great way to access student understanding of the rock cycle while incorporating creativity, technology, writing, and fun.
