Teaching proper letter formation is an essential foundationa

Teachers can label it with the type of writing and their requirements for the work. Students and teachers can mark the 1-3 point rubric on the following areas: Topic Idea, Sentence Detail, Length of Work, Handwriting, Capitalization, and Writing the words. I needed a more specific rubric to assess my students writing and I think for now this might fit the bill! H

Help children remember the difference between lowercase 'b' and 'd' with this helpful picture chart. Since children are introduced to the left to right reading and writing concept early on, teaching them to give a "Thumbs Up!" will aide them in distinguishing the 'b' and 'd' letters in those early reader activites. When a child sees their left hand with a thumbs up it's shaped like the letter 'b', and the right hand looks like the letter 'd'. For years I have had incredible success with this
