Whose tools are those a sorting activity for the community helpers theme
This is a great sorting activity for the community helpers theme. Each page contains pictures of 2 community helpers and 4 or 5 objects that are associated with the helpers. The students will move the objects to their respective community helper.

Making Inferences- SPANISH
I use this Flipchart to introduce and reinforce Inferencing skills in First Grade. There are 2 activities. The first one is using the Reveal tool, where the students look at PART of pictures and use their schema to determine a location. The second activity requires the students to pull different tools from a mystery box and use their schema and clues to determine what worker needs those tools. This is an activity that the students absolutely LOVE!

This is an interactive lesson that I use once I have covered basic community helpers and what they use. In this activity is asks a question like "what do firemen drive to a fire?" It provides a visual cue like a picture of a fireman, and then choices in a field of 3. When the child selects the correct choice it models that language like "a firetruck".

Realidades 2 5A Preterite of Oír, Leer, Creer, Destruir Matching Game
This matching game can be played with individual students or in teams. It is a Flip chart for Active Inspire software and is meant to be used on be used on an interactive board such as a Promethean. Just place the cursor (with the mouse or the board pen) over the yellow tabs (a blue play sign will show if you are in the right position) and have the students match the subject/infinitive with the conjugated form. This Clue game is an adaptation of the Orginal clue game. The teacher will place her own clues on cards or on the digital card by annotation. The students may move their game pieces around the board. This is great for any grade level and any skill.You may place money or other objects in the game, but make sure you reorder your objects to the top layer.

This is an introductory lesson to community helpers. There is a song about helpers and pictures of 11 different helpers and a brief description of what they do. Then the last section is a question format such as "who helps put out fires" and your children should select the correct picture (with a reinforcing sound for choosing correctly).

What does not belong (categories, negation, and differences)
This is one of 2 introductory lessons into sorting and categorization. Essentially children look at a field of 4 pictures and choose the one that is different and doesn't belong. When they select the appropriate picture it plays a reinforcing sound. The pictures begin very basic and get more complex as you go into the chart.

What goes together (a basic sorting and categorizing activity)
This is the second part to my introduction about things that go together like socks and shoes, combs and brushes, etc. In this activity students will put 2 items that go together in its appropriate box. The slides initially start of with 1 of the items already in a box so that student select what goes with it, but it eventually moves to empty boxes that children sort by which things go together.

Letter Formation using Lines and Curves ActivInspire Flipchart
In this flipchart, students will use different lines/curves to form upper case letters. There are different degrees of difficulty. It starts with the letter to drag the pieces over, then fill in the missing letters with no supports (two pages of this) then creating all of the letters with no supports. Orton-Gillingham Based Hard G Soft G Lesson PROMETHEAN Flip Chart
I create interactive flip charts that teach Orton-Gillingham based phonics and spelling lessons! This lesson teaches the rules for spelling words with hard g or soft g. There is also a code and read practice page created that may be printed from the flip chart.
