The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald Author's Craft/Purpose Questions
This song describes the tragic loss of twenty-nine men when the SS Edmund Fitzgerald sank in Lake Superior. The product contains higher-level thinking questions which require students to identify the rhyme scheme, literary devices, and various strategies used by the author to convey his message. A summary chart is included and answers are provided for all activities.

Halloween Music Activity - 2nd and 3rd Grade
Small group activity. Mix up each set of cards and students work together to assemble them back in order. The winning team gets a prize (or a trick or treat)! The students then get to sing the song as class. Use percussion instruments or assign groups certain parts for an extra bit of fun! (BTW: I usually accompany on piano, using the chords from "The 12 Days of Christmas" but in a minor key.)Print these out on cardstock and laminate to make them last for years to come!
