This is a pre-reading activity for William Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet intended to get students thinking about the idea of relationships and the influence that their parents do -- or should-- have on them. The Outsiders Movie Parent Permission Slip
Use this paper to obtain parent permission for watching the movie The Outsiders. Weekly Students Reading Tracker
Weekly Reading Log for students. Students read nightly and record what they read, for how long, each week the students also respond about the book they are reading by choosing two prompts. I would give out the log on Mondays and collect the following Monday. Good way to keep students and parents accountable for reading at home.
