Sound BINGO! A fun game to learn the sound of musical instruments

Created by
James Crocker
Basic Bingo rules apply, except the board is a 5X5 grid of instruments (the center square is a ‘free space’ and considered already filled). Listen to the audio clips and cross off (or cover) each instrument as it plays. First to get five-in-a-row (horizontal, vertical or diagonal) is the winner. Easy! - Download and unzip the zip file (4 pdf bingo cards and 34 mp3 audio clips) - Print the cards. - Either burn the audio to CD or create a playlist on an mp3 player. - Set to random or shuffle. - H

Note to Parents about Good Behavior in Music

This is a note I love to keep on hand! Anytime a student does a good job in class, I give them a note like this. Check off why they are being given the note, and make sure to write their name! You can add more information onto the back. This is a great positive incentive for elementary music class. Rhythm Wars: In the Beginning is the epilogue for a high tech counting game that spans sixteen chapters allowing students an up close and personal look at counting rhythms. A great assistant for visually impaired students, it magnifies the measures so that all students can count and clap in tandem on a Smartboard, Promethean, PowerPoint, or even a projector. For more active fun they then compete against each other to find a class champion. Each class champion can then compete against the upper a

Has your child wanted to learn piano, but you don't have the time or resources to take them to lessons? Don't want them just to learn on YouTube? I created a method book where a dad teaches his son the piano. I have more books in the works, but I hope you enjoy the first 10 pages. Would love to hear your opinions. I wanted the book to have a comic feel and inspire the next generation of classical music lovers and composers.

Rhythm Chart Activity

This is an activity set I created for my students to creating rhythms using the provided notes - There is a blank rhythm chart with 4 boxes and a variety of notes to be cut out (quarter notes, eighth notes, half notes, and quarter rests). I make the half note boxes big enough to take up two boxes (two beats). This was specifically meant to be used as an optional home activity during the school closure of 2020.Note - because this is one of my first TPT posts- its not very decorative and fancy.

This is a work sheet which helps piano students to locate Middle C on the piano in a creative and fun way. Encourage students to sit in the middle of the piano bench, help them find the two black keys right in the middle of the piano - right in front of their belly button or nose. Name these two keys Mum and Dad. The three keys in front of these notes are called Charlie, Daniel and Ella. C for Charlie, D for Daniel and E for Ella. The first born in the family Charlie is the note Middle C. M
