The History of the Atom - Models and Scientists (Teacher and Student Versions)

Newton's Laws and Motion
This is the flipchart I use to teach newton's laws and graphing motion to my 8th graders. I use this along with NASA's stomp rocket lab to teach about aerodynamics, force, motion, and acceleration. I also utilize motion sensors in order to begin teaching motion at the beginning of class.

Electromagnetic Spectrum Interactive Matching Pairs Game
A competitive interactive whiteboard game in which two teams take it in turns to match keywords relating to the EM spectrum. The game automatically scores and has a built in timer in the event of a draw. Students really enjoy the competitiveness, strongly recommended. This game won a Microsoft innovation award.

Hertzsprung-Russell Diagram for Promethean Systems H-R Diagram
Included in this file is a four page flipchart that covers the basics of the Hertzsprung-Russell Diagram. Each page has notes regarding the action objects. Newton's Cannon
This is a small application developed to demonstrate that gravity still impacts objects in orbit. It is based on a famous thought experiment from Isaac Newton where he imagines shooting a cannon progressively harder until it would eventually be in orbit.
In the app you can also turn off collisions to demonstrate that everyday objects falling to the ground are in orbit around the center of the Earth until they make contact with the ground and are stopped.
