Smart STEM Tallest Christmas Tree
Tis the season for holiday STEM! Here is a SmartBoard activity that I made for a 2nd grade class. This Smart has directions, materials, charts and timers for the activity. Students are to build the tallest Christmas tree that they can in 15 minutes. At the beginning, I have the jobs broken down. For my class, I will not assign specific jobs, but for some classes it could be needed. For older grades, have the students graph their data they collected.

It's time to boogie down, shamrock style!
Students make their shamrocks move and "dance" on this SMART Board attendance activity. The file has many moving objects, including a boy and girl leprechaun who will "dance" (spin) for several seconds when clicked. Top o' the Morning to You! It's your lucky day! This leprechaun is handing out gold! Students use this "rich with fun" attendance activity to indicate they are present at school. Students take the gold from the leprechaun and place it in their respective pots! This activity is sure to start you students' day off with lots of giggles and smiles!
The activity comes with two separate activities--one with numbers and one with names you can change. Directions for changing names are included!
