Scaling Up Candy Bar Project - Scale Factor Project
In this project, the students will use scale factor to enlarge a candy wrapper. The final project will include an enlarged colored candy wrapper along with follow-up questions about the project. They will also have to solve a series of problems involving scale factor. This is an activity I used to reinforce fraction operations in my 6th grade math class. The students created a class recipe book by each bringing in three of their favorite recipes.
