I started working in classrooms in the fall of 2001 while I was studying at UT in the UTeach program. I began teaching 8th graders in PreAlgebra and PreAP Algebra for 3 years and then moved to high school geometry, test prep and intervention in 2008. I was hired as the Math Instructional Master NIET Coach at John B. Connally High School in Pflugerville ISD the summer of 2015. I now support all the math content teachers in content, instruction and engaging students. If you work in Pflugerville ISD feel free to email me and I can collaborate with you even more based on your campus data and needs.
I believe the classroom is a place where all students need to give input therefore I do a lot of cooperative learning and engaging activities where the students are working with each other as well as being formatively assessed throughout the lesson.

I studied in the UTeach program at University of Texas - Austin for 3 years and got my BS in Mathematics at Texas State University - San Marcos in 2005. I received my master's in Educational Leadership in Spring 2015 to help bridge the gap between teachers and administration as to foster better instruction and collaborative settings in schools for both teachers and students. I struggled with math while I was in high school so I'm always making applications to students real world lives with the lessons and activities that I do to better help them comprehend the material and be successful in class.
I have two cats, an amazing husband, love live music, the hill country, yoga, running, doodling and spending time with my family.
