Although you may see this represented elsewhere as a 4-step, 6 or even 7-step process, I’ve chosen to represent the Writing Process as a 5-step process (brainstorming, drafting, revising, editing, & publishing); focusing on these steps in particular without getting too granular.Brainstorming, Research, and Prewriting are sometimes listed as distinct steps, whereas I am of the thought that anything you do prior to the actual writing falls into the prewriting category.
