This 14 question circuit that I wrote for my Algebra 2 students has problems with log equations, exponential equations, log properties and evaluating logs. It is meant to be completed without a calculator as long as students know some powers of integers from 2-10. Transformations of Parent Functions Guide
This is a word document that I use as a hand-out for my pre-calculus students learning about parent functions and their off-spring (I like to call them the "momma" functions as well). Through examples of absolute value, quadratic, cubic, radical, and rational functions, I offer a visual and explanations of transformations. Vertical and horizontal stretches and shifts are the transformations. I left a couple of boxes blank for the students to offer their sketches of the transformed function.

Long Division of Polynomials Circuit
Students work to complete 12 long division of polynomials problems. They hunt in the circuit for the answer to the current problem. When they find it, that is the next problem they complete. Trigonometric Graphs on the Electromagnetic Spectrum Project
This student-led project allows students to choose two colors and their wavelengths, and then go on to graph and find a trigonometric sine or cosine equation for both colors. There are extra exploration questions at the end of the project.

I created this as a quick warm-up activity for the first day of my high school math classes. I needed them to think about the wording of the standards and mathematical language in general. I wanted them to connect the Standards for Mathematical Practice to things they would understand in real life. Over 20 practice problems of graphing sine, cosine, and tangent. I created these worksheets with scaffolding on the different transformations. I had a hard time finding ones that used accurate scales and gave the students plenty of practice with different types. One of the worksheets has graphs without scales so they can create their own.
