When I Was Your Age (Interview)
This interview is ideal for Grandparents' Day however it is not exclusive to grandparents. It provides interview questions that the children can ask to inquire about what life was like years ago. This is a resource which can be used with both paediatric and adult fluency clients. Particularly useful for allowing a client to not feel isolated due to their stutter and provide them with a role model to look up to, aiding in their ability to face potential adversities which they may encounter. I use this to start out the year, to remind myself my goals of being an 8th grade Learning Support Case Manager. My student's need to transition into the High School and need to be introduced to the philosophies in more than one way. I use this hand out during Curriculum Night, along with a powerpoint explaining my reasonings, and I use it during Parent /Teacher Conferences. The guardians appreciate the extra work and explanation behind your philosophy.
