How I Teach Distance Rate and Time Word Problems

How I Teach Functions (Finding a Function Rule)

How I Teach Non-Standard Operations Part 1
This is a 54 page Smartboard lesson teaching Non-Standard Operations. Non-Standard Operations are pretty much any math operation outside of your normal add, subtract, multiply, ... This is a skill that is common on the ACT test. The format I chose was to give it a "spy" theme. Your students will be excited to try and break the code! Solving Inequality Review Grudgeball Game
This game reviews concepts with solving inequalities, including multi-step inequalities, compound, and absolute value inequalities. The game allows the students to work in teams and when the team answered a problem correctly, they get the opportunity to shoot a basket. If the basket is made, the team can either add a point or take away a point from a different team. All answers are included and all slides are linked together.

How I Teach Factoring Trinomials (Leading Coefficient is Greater Than One)
This is a 30 page Smartboard lesson explaining how to factor a trinomial when the leading coefficient is greater than one. I use the slide and divide method in my explanation. The lesson guides the student step by step through the process followed by many examples. Some examples require taking out a common factor first.
