It is state law in Illinois and at least 19 other states that each year every student in grades K-12 will receive instruction defining sexual abuse and ways to get help. As fantastic as this law is, I have yet to find affordable and effective lesson plans on safe and unsafe touch. I try to provide you an outline here and some activities that you can modify for grades K-9th grade.

Signs You May Be In An Unhealthy Relationship Poster
This is an 8x10 poster listing the different signs that you may be in an unhealthy relationship.
I use this poster in addition to my lesson on "What Is A Healthy Relationship?".
The poster is appropriate for all grades 7-12, middle school, junior high, and high school students. It is appropriate for both male and female students as well.
Use the poster as a conversation starter in your classroom or your counseling office.
