TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Danielle Marino is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with five years experience working as both a school social worker and pediatric therapist. She received her undergraduate degree in Psychology from the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana and Master's in Social Work (MSW) from Loyola University at Chicago. Danielle began her career as the Early Intervention School Social Worker at Whittier Elementary in Oak Park, IL and has since worked at Chicago International Charter Schools (C.I.C.S.) Bucktown Campus and MacNeal School, a therapeutic school for children with emotional disorders. Danielle has helped write over 100 IEPs and can help coach families on working with school districts.

MY TEACHING STYLE

Clinically, Danielle’s focus has been on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and she uses the BalanceMan and Bad Thoughts Gang (BTG) cartoon characters to help children and adolescents develop balanced, healthy thought patterns and healthier behavior.
