Celebrate fall with this haiku poetry assignment. This form teaches students how to write a haiku poem as well as provides them with a form on which to write it. Christmas Limerick Poetry Form
This will make a terrific entry in your students' writing portfolios. Wow parents with students' portfolios including one or more of several holiday poems. There is a form to complete along with a holiday picture and a definition of each type of poem. There is also a cut off if you'd like to display the poems on a bulletin board or in your hallway. Weekly Station / Centers Rotations for Upper Elementary: Editable
This is a chart that I created to organize stations in my room. I departmentalize so I only have the students for about an hour an a half. The first 30 minutes is for the bell ringer and short direction instruction for mini lessons. The other hour is dividing into 20 minute sections for small groups.
