TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have 22 years of teaching grades 7-12 in Dramatic Arts and English. These include applied, academic, and college level courses. Also, I am a professor at the Faculty of Education at Lakehead University in Thunder Bay, Ont. As well as, I have experience working with EQAO and the Ontario Secondary School Literacy Test (OSSLT).

MY TEACHING STYLE

I am all about engaging the students that I teach. Which is why having my students choose what they would like to read about and write about is imperative in my classroom. Also, I try to instill a sense of responsibility for learning for my students; where they make choices on a daily basis and must live with the outcomes or consequences based upon those choices. We also try to have fun while we learn and spend a large amount of time together!
