The History of Chocolate - Article Quest / Webquest - Sub Plan!
Who doesn't love chocolate! This is a plan that I will often leave for my substitutes. It contains five articles regarding the history of chocolate and some short answer reading comprehension questions. I have done this by printing out the articles and using it as an Article Quest, and I have also done this in the Computer Lab as a Webquest - both the links and the articles are included in this file. "This or That" Ice Breaker
A simple PowerPoint of "Would you rather..." and "Which is better..." slides that will have your students up and out of their seats to break some ice! For each slide, students go to the side of the room that corresponds with their choice. Students can volunteer to share out why they prefer that option if you would like to get them talking.
