Stretching a Sentence Smartboard Going From Good to Great Sentences
This is a Smartboard activity. I have used this method to help my students go from writing simple sentences to visual sentences. It works in second grade and can work in upper grades. Sorting for Summer Smart Board™ Activity
Ah, Summer! This is a Summer sorting activity for the Smart Board™. It is suitable for primary grades (Pre-K, Kindergarten and First Grade, mostly). Argument Game (Practise persuasive / exposition / debating language)
This is a notebook slide adapted from a simple 'argument' game. I used this in my fourth grade class as a fun game to practise persuasive language.
Two students at a time (could be played in teams). Each student presses interactive dice which determines which topic will be argued. Students then need to give 2 arguments for their side. Class can vote on who had the better points. Winner can continue with new opponent.
