Holidays Around the World Writing Project, Leveled, Differentiated!
Students will pick a country they are interested in studying and answer questions about the holiday traditions in that country, then write an essay in paragraph form, using the questions as a graphic organizer. This product includes geography, writing, and social studies components. There are 2 levels for the writing portion, the first level contains a fill in the blanks essay. Level 2 is for intermediate learners who are able to free write their answers in essay form.

Informational Writing Planning Frame
This information writing plan can be used from grades 1-12. This simple format leaves plenty of room for expansion depending on the level of your writers. I have included an example from a sample book I’ve written with my first grade class. These can be scaled up or down depending on the level of your students. For pre-writers they can draw pictures to go with simple sentences. For more advanced students they can complete them on their own with more detailed sentences.
