Use this outline to create arrays on a block on New York City, or any other city! Students can create arrays with items blocking some of the windows in their array, and still use their knowledge of rows and columns to solve for the total number of windows on each building. This can be the first activity completed as a class, or the teacher can use this as a template or modeling.
