College Bound Research Project & Excel
Students will use the internet to research various expenses related to going to college and living independently This assumes they will be paying for all college and living expenses on their own. I am providing this in Microsoft Word so that you may edit to fit your class needs. After the research is completed, they will create an Excel spreadsheet that calculates their monthly living expenses and they must find a job that will support their living expenses.

Skittle Statistics MS Excel Mini-Lab
This is a 1 class MS Excel lab for a computer or math class. You can have the students explore the distribution of different color Skittles in class. This is a great mini-lab or half-day activity when you school ends up with a weird schedule day. Tell them they can't eat till the Skittles till the end of class, or they will distort their numbers. Homophones Pirate Webquest
This homophones webquest is suited to students from years 3-6. Students 'dig' at seven (internet) sites to try (learning their homophones at each site) to find the number of steps pirates must walk (in a north-west direction), from the 7th site, to find a buried treasure.
