Classroom Credit Card Application
Students may apply for credit in my classroom. Students first complete this credit card application. Answers to questions listed on the credit card application should be answered honestly by the student. I determine a student’s approval based on savings vs. spending habits and the amount of cash currently in the student’s wallet. If students have over $10, are employed for the week, and circle “homeowner” then they are approved for credit. If denied, students can always reapply at a later date.

This financial simulation is designed to be performed in the classroom over a period of 4 weeks. Each week is designed to add in a new business aspect. By the end of the simulation, students should understand stock trading, how to fill out an application, loans, business management and more. This should only take about 10-15 minutes every day, so other content should/can also be taught while completing the financial simulation.
