Life Skills at its Best!

Comprehensive Activities to promote good citizenship, school spirit, responsibility, self-esteem, decision making, balancing a budget, appropriate socialization & punctuality. This plan is developed to be used at the end of the week on a weekly basis through out the school year.

These activities were made for you to expand and use at your students ability level. Worksheets have been included for low functioning as well as higher functioning students. These activities could be used in General Education as well as Special Education, at all levels, Elementary, Middle School and High School. Your lessons can be as detailed as you feel your students can handle. All worksheets have been created in Microsoft Office, Word and Publisher to be specific. Text boxes have been added so you may personalize your worksheets to fill your needs, and to enable you to use your school name and mascot.

When this was used in an EC Self-Contained class at the high school level, all activities were approved through the Administration, Athletic Director and Student Council Advisor. My students used their class finances to purchase tickets to sporting events and school dances. Friday’s were looked forward to with a lot of anticipation!

Students took the responsibility of making the popcorn, cleaning the classroom before and after the movie, manning the classroom store that was open once a month. (Businesses, teachers and students made donations to the store, CD’s, pencils, pens, snacks, notebooks etc.) Students would bring in movies of interest which would then be voted on providing they were appropriate.

Start this program slowly; you will be amazed at how quickly your students will pick it up!
