We used this reader's theater script to review our study of quadrilaterals. As we practiced, students chose sound effects (s.e.) and gestures (ges) to enhance the theatrical experience.
When practicing this reader's theater, students recite the characteristics of squares, rectangles, parallelograms, rhombuses, and trapezoids.

The Treasure Hunt: A group of friends discover a treasure map that leads them through a magical forest filled with talking trees, unicorns, and other mystical creatures. To find the treasure, they must use their knowledge of area and perimeter to solve puzzles and unlock hidden doors in the shapes of triangles, rectangles, and circles.
