Mathtastic Alien Encounters (I'm Trying to Love Math by Bethany Barton)
After reading the book, I'm Trying to Love Math by Bethany Barton, students pretend to be aliens visiting planet earth. They watch humans use everyday math tools like calculators, money, measuring cups, clocks, rulers, etc. Then they return home to their planet and tell their fellow alien friends what they saw. Students fill out this script template to report their findings and to show that they understand how everyday math tools are used to solve their own equations. Sample and Utah Education N
