Australia and New Zealand Travel Commercial
Students select an island, state, or territory in the area, research that location, and create a commercial to attract tourists. Can be done using technology (iPads or computers) or with a good old posterboard! I have also included the notes I required them to take in outlining their commercial.

Electoral College Map Activity (3 min 31 min Video with directions/ex.)
This hands-on activity allows students to gain a better conceptual understanding of how the electoral college plays into the overall strategy to win the presidency. About 1 week of class time- great for right before a break, between projects, or as my class did-- culminating project after reading, analyzing, and comparing perspectives of Rousseau, Nietzche, and Frankl. My students said "I Am" was their favorite movie-- it was uplifting and got them thinking and engaged in discussion expressing emotions.

Key Battles of World War 2 video and article project
This project assesses student understanding through a reenactment of the key battles of the Second World War. This is a group project that requires research, writing, filming, and self/peer assessment. The timeline for the WW II project is flexible, though it is helpful to build in some planning and research time into the classroom, and then allow students at least a week to complete the video, editing, and presenting portion of the assignment. Formatting a Bibliography
Raise your hand if you walk students through formatting a bibliography and they go home and forget everything you taught! Once this happened a few times for me, I made this video, posted it to Google Classroom, and had students refer to it each time they had a question.
