Parallel and Perpendicular Lines (Geometry Town) Project
The Geometry Town project has students making a town using steps that tells you how many parallel, perpendicular, and transversals lines (streets) to use. Then, there are buildings and places such as the police station, gas station, school, etc. that need to be placed in the town according to relationships such as "the police station is alternate interior to the gas station" and "the gas station is corresponding to the school". Transversal Angle Relationships Project- City Planning Performance Task
Students will create a city map by following requirements for roads and buildings. Requirements include parallel and perpendicular lines, a transversal, and transversal angle relationships. This activity can be scaffolded by providing a street line equation as a starting point. This includes an extended edition that incorporates midpoint and distance!

PBL for Parallel & Perpendicular Lines
Project based learning project for virtual, blended/hybrid, and face to face learners. Helps assess the parallel and perpendicular lines with transversals knowledge of your learner. Included are two practice worksheets with proofs and writing equations of parallel and perpendicular lines. Creating a city, performing constructions, solving proofs, video explanation, and writing equations are all part of the Smorgasbord of geometric assessment involved.
