Star Constellations 2 SURFFDOGGY
(11 pages) This activity has several variations. First, students can do internet research and find information regarding the stars of the constellations Taurus and Leo. Second, student can use provided data to plot the locations of all stars for Taurus and Leo using celestial coordinates (RA and declination). Each star can be color coded according to its class. This is a favorite hands-on activity that utilizes measuring and math. Teams of students will construct a scale model of the Apollo Saturn V moon rocket. This model comes apart into its different stages so that students can simulate each step of the Apollo moon missions. Made entirely of single strength cardboard.
