Daily Five Rotation Chart on Smart Notebook (Edit as needed)
This is a daily five rotation chart I use daily to set up my rotations. This way, I can group kids in leveled groups for both work work and the teacher group. I use the "dots" if a child is going out of the room during a rotation. I use the following letters for each group:
WW: Word Work
WR: Work on Writing
T: Teacher
LR: Listen to Reading
R: Read to Self
RS: Read to Someone

This file is a Novel study for the book, Ground Zero by Alan Gratz. The SmartNotebook file includes thought-provoking questions for students. The file is set up in a way that has links to navigate from page to page, as well as, links to Virtual Tours of "Ground Zero" and much more. I like to print the file for my students to answer questions while I present the file on my interactive whiteboard.

Seedfolks Thematic Unit
I have spent a full summer working on this thematic unit and I’m excited to share it with you! Students typically would use a spiral notebook as their “journal” to use every day of the unit. It’s organized, engaging, and most of all, encourages students to think, discuss among their peers, and be creative while being critical thinkers!

I modify this chart daily when I set up my rotations. The chart includes: WW:Word Work, WR: Work on Writing, RS: Read to Someone, R: Read to Self, T: Teacher, LR: Listen to Reading and bubbles in case a child is out during that rotation.
By using this chart, children can be grouped together by levels in various subject areas.

Notice and Note: Tough Questions
Introductory lesson for the Notice and Note signpost, Tough Questions. Includes linked Powtoon video to introduce the concept, plus linked videos to relate to the students' own experience using movie clips. Also included is a slide reviewing how we use sticky notes to record annotations that answer the anchor question, using additional guiding questions as a means to make students think more deeply about the text.
