Explaining the events of 9/11 is tough to do, especially when it is to a group of children. This is how I would do it each year. I presented the topic to the kids with guided notes (cloze) and then followed it up with either an online video, read aloud book, or both. Then I would end the discussion and lesson with The Courageous Quilt activity.
