What educators are saying

We are will working on Influential African Americans this coming month. I have put together a project based lesson for my students and used this resource in the kit. Thank you.
We used this in class last spring for Black History Month. It was a perfect resource for biographies and research- more skills than I can list here!

Description

This resource contains a ready-to-use printable list of 100 notable Black Americans who made contributions to American History. You get 1 list categorized by men/women, and another list categorized by profession. The same 100 names are on both lists. Use the organized and categorized lists to assign research projects, “wax museum” personalities, or Black History Month projects for the class. Create and share research to promote stories of American accomplishment, hope and inspiration through diversity & justice or to challenge biases of race, racism, racial or social injustice.

I've compiled organized and categorized lists of 100 historical black men and women famous for their accomplishments in business, politics, science & invention, education, sports, activism, military & aviation, activism, music, entertainment and art. Help students explore the lives of these notable businessmen and businesswomen, politicians, senators, congressmen, scientists, inventors, doctors, nurses, teachers, professors, athletes (tennis, basketball, baseball, track & field), civil rights movement leaders and heroes, public speakers, veterans in the army, navy, WWII, civil war, pilots, explorers, singers, composers, musicians, actors, sculptors, painters, and more!
