I've taught one year of kindergarten, then 3 years of 2nd grade. I teach in a Title I school, so it can get a little overwhelming at times. However, these experiences are gifts, and I have a million and one hilariously unbelievable stories of what goes on in a day in the life of a teacher! http://wyckoffsworkshop.blogspot.com/
I prefer to provide my students with activities and experiences that lead them towards discovery of new information. My students work collaboratively in pairs and small groups most of the time. This way, their learning is more authentic.

I love the great outdoors! I love teaching my kids about other places in the world, and about life outside our school. It's the best part of teaching!
